Willard is fresh off the Arizona trip and it's time to find out what these PowerJet injectors are actually making. The truck towed the race rig down, Logan raced it, it performed, and now it goes on the dyno to put a number on it.
The build is dead simple. Aggressor 60-64 turbo, intake, exhaust, Quadzilla tuning, a Power Driven transmission, and the PowerJet injectors. That is the entire list on a VP44 second gen that just towed a race rig to Arizona and back without breaking a sweat.
The before and after is what makes this one worth watching. When Todd bought Willard, it peaked around 187 horsepower. With the turbo swap, injectors, tuning, and supporting mods, the dyno is now reading 461 horsepower with 416 usable on the tow tune. Well over double on one of the most underestimated platforms in the second gen world. VP44 trucks get written off constantly compared to 12 valves and common rails, and this build keeps making the argument that they shouldn't be.
EGT control and smoke control both held up across the Arizona haul, grossing around 22,000 to 23,000 pounds on tune four the whole way. Real world results backed up by dyno numbers. That combination is hard to argue with.
If you want to see what happens when we bolt on a bigger turbo and push this VP44 past 600 horsepower, subscribe and hit the bell so you don't miss it.
