It is no secret that the factory 68RFE transmission is plagued with issues, many of which stem from the valve body itself. Worn-out valves, warped plates, leaking passages, and blown-out accumulator plates can wreak havoc on the internals of your transmission and inevitably cause the need for a complete rebuild.
The Power Driven 68RFE High-Pressure Valve Body is a great solution to these problems. With the custom transfer plate, our valve body allows the transmission to make up to 250 psi line pressure** where the factory was only capable of 160 psi, which allows a 40% increase in clutch holding capability. The billet channel plate prevents warping at these higher pressures which causes cross-leaks and valve bore wear.
Our 68RFE High-Pressure Valve Body also utilizes billet accumulator pistons from the factory plastic, for a more reliable seal. Each and every valve body gets inspected and tested for bore wear, and any issues present are addressed as necessary to ensure that only the best get sent down the assembly line!
This valve body includes:
- Billet channel plate
- Billet accumulator pistons
- Heavy-duty accumulator plate made of high-quality 304 stainless steel
- Upgrade accumulator springs
- Valve body grommets
- Upgraded SSV valve
- New genuine OEM solenoid pack
- New custom transfer plate with gaskets
**The valve body is capable of running 250 psi but will require transmission tuning or a pressure box to achieve this. 250 psi is not recommended with a factory transmission, and up to 225 psi can be run in built transmissions.
