Power Driven Diesel Warranty Policy
Power Driven Diesel develops and manufactures performance parts for diesel applications. We will always do our best to ensure all Power Driven Diesel products are built to the highest standards possible, supporting high-horsepower performance builds and daily drivers alike.
Power Driven Diesel upholds a product warranty on all “Power Driven Diesel” branded products. Any other product warranty claims outside of the Power Driven brand must be handled by the appropriate manufacturer. This warranty policy is active once the Power Driven Diesel product has delivered to your location. We recommend that all items are inspected for shipping damages or workmanship defects upon arrival. Power Driven Diesel maintains the right to refuse warranty coverage if there is any suspicion of misuse, abuse, or incorrect installation of any Power Driven Diesel branded product. We furthermore maintain the right to refuse warranty coverage if there is debris or contaminated fuel present (when applicable), caused by incorrect use/maintenance of any product. Power Driven Diesel will uphold warranty claims based on workmanship defects as well any damage incurred during the shipping process, defined by specific time frames and terms detailed below.
General Warranty Terms
Damaged in Shipping Claims
- All Power Driven Diesel warranty policies begin once the customer has received their product. It is the responsibility of the customer to open and inspect their products upon arrival. Any damage incurred during shipping is required to be reported to a Power Driven Diesel customer service representative within the first 10 days after the original delivery date. Failure to report within the defined time frame will nullify replacement coverage. The customer will be required to submit photo evidence of the damage.
- Items damaged in shipping will only be warrantied via replacement of the exact product; items damaged in shipping are not eligible for a refund.
- Non-Stocked Items: Power Driven Diesel often dropships non-stocked items from other warehouses or companies. We will do our best to fight for replacement coverage when we have not physically shipped your package ourselves. We are at the mercy of the decision made by the original shipper of your package.
Warranty Coverage
- Power Driven Diesel will uphold warranty replacements/repairs defined by the schedule defined below, only to the original purchaser of the Power Driven Diesel product. Warranty coverage is non-transferable and will not be accepted without the original invoice number. Warranty claims made by secondary owners will be denied.
Claim Period
- Warranty coverage periods are defined below and begin on the date the product arrives to the original purchaser. After the warranty expiration date defined below, Power Driven Diesels will maintain the right to deny any warranty claims made, but we will always do our best to be reasonable and take care of our customers.
Warranty Acceptance
- Power Driven Diesel will only consider acceptance of warranty claims that complete all necessary steps in the warranty claim process. Failure to provide the required information in full will result in your warranty claim being denied. All items sent to Power Driven Diesel for warranty repair must have prior authorization by our customer service team. Failure to do so may result in major delays in the warranty process. Failure to complete all of the warranty steps may result in your warranty claim being denied or severely delay the warranty process.
- To begin a warranty claim, you may fill out the form on our website, email customerservice@powerdriven.com, or call 435-962-9555.
- We will request photos of your product, whether or not the failure/damage is cosmetic/visible
- You will be asked a short series of questions by our customer service representative pertaining to your claim
- If you cannot send in your product to be inspected first, you will be required to pay the following cross-shipping fee before we can send your replacement product:
- For products with cores, we will require another core deposit on your item (example: a cross-shipped transmission will require a $2000 fee)
- Or, 50% of the retail value of the product if no core fee applies to the product
- The cross-ship deposit is fully refundable once we receive your original defective item
Misuse and Abuse
- Power Driven Diesel will not warranty any product that has not followed the recommended installation instructions, has been damaged due negligence during install, or has been used with contaminated fuel. Misuse and abuse is also defined by the mannerisms in which the product and vehicle have been used and/or maintained since installation.
Completion of Warranty
- Once your Power Driven Diesel product arrives at our facility, it will be inspected, and the necessary repairs will be documented. You can request this documentation from our customer service team, who will gladly provide it. If misuse, abuse, or incorrect installation is evident, the customer will be held responsible for return shipping as well as repair costs.
Workmanship Defects
- Are defined as defects in any item(s) that prohibits said item from functioning or operating as designed, stemming from flaws during the manufacturing/building process.
Limited Warranty Terms
Listed below are all the terms in which Power Driven Diesel may void warranty coverage, any warranty claims not made in good faith will be subject to fees and will severely delay the return of products.
Improper Installation
Any damages caused during improper installation will void all warranty terms. Improper installation includes any attempts at installation that fail to meet Power Driven Diesel’s standards and/or not installed following Power Driven Diesel's recommendations.
Absence of Maintenance and/or Negligence
Products that require maintenance such as regular cleaning will not be warrantied if the product's condition indicates maintenance requirements have not been met. For example, air filters require regular cleaning and can be destroyed and destroy other parts as a result of excessive dirt/debris. An excessively dirty air filter will not be eligible for warranty.
Improper Use & Alteration
Defined as using your product for any use outside of the defined purpose described at time of purchase as well as alteration of the product for any use outside of the purpose described.
Products that have been altered in any way, including but not limited to painting, cerakoting, powder coating, welding, grinding, or any other modification that may have impacted the longevity or intended use of the product, will not be warrantied.
Service Damages
Defined as any damage incurred during any attempt to repair your product without instruction or approval from Power Driven Diesel, outside of our facility.
