BorgWarner K27 Turbocharger — Holset HX35W Replacement (up to 450 HP)

The BorgWarner K27 is a direct replacement for the Holset HX35W, capable of supporting up to 450 HP on Cummins-powered Dodge trucks. It features a 60/83.7mm Forged Milled Wheel (FMW) compressor, a 70/58.83mm 12-blade Inconel turbine for quick response, and a twin-volute wastegate housing with an adjustable actuator preset at 26 PSI (325 HP) — safe up to 40 PSI (450 HP) with a Power Driven Turbo Tuner. Oil inlet is threaded M12 and oil drain is threaded M8, matching the Holset layout.

Installation Notes by Application

• 1998.5–2002.5 Cummins with HX35W: Requires Cummins 3927811 cast elbow and 3903652 v-clamp to use existing downpipe.
• 1998.5–2002.5 Cummins with HY35W: Same elbow and v-clamp required. Also replace the two studs in the original turbine inlet flange.
• 2003–2007.5 Cummins with HY35W, HE351W, or HE351CW: Fabricated or adapter required for compressor discharge and turbine discharge. HE351CW also requires a boost fooler or resistor.
