The Power Driven Diesel White 2-1/16" 2000-Degree Pyrometer Gauge (EGT) with Warning can be one of the most important gauges on your diesel truck. This warns the driver of situations that are potentially damaging to the engine. EGT, which stands for "exhaust gas temperature," is the temperature of either the turbine inlet or the outlet, depending on the placement of the probe.
For the most accurate reading, try placing the probe closer to the exhaust manifold.
