When the crank in Ruby, our high-horsepower tow rig failed, we dug into the details. What we found was that many aftermarket “6.7L” cranks were really just reworked 5.9L designs. They are not the same. The counterweights are different. The forging marks are different. And most importantly, the strength and reliability are not there.
So we did what we always do at Power Driven Diesel. We built it ourselves. Our crank is forged using custom dies. Every crank is serialized for tracking and quality control. It is balanced in-house with a full report included. These cranks are built to true OEM 6.7L Cummins specs, Not a stroked 5.9.
