The stock HX35 turbo outlet ID measures 2.6”, but the mating flange ID of the factory cast elbow measures just under 2.4”, leaving a 1\/4 inch misalignment step that creates turbulence and exhaust restriction. Even worse, this misalignment step occurs at the tightest cross-section point in the factory 3” exhaust system. The Power Driven Stainless HX35 elbow was produced with a tapered 2.68” inside diameter to perfectly match the factory HX35 turbo outlet and maintains a 6% larger inside diameter throughout the elbow.
